My Story

I love nail polish, and makeup, and collect both. These two obsessions came about three and a half years ago when I started browsing YouTube videos, and visiting various nail and makeup blogs. My cosmetic skills greatly evolved since then and now, I get asked very often if I am a profession, which I am not. I never went to school for it, I am completely self-taught. I would not say that I am all that good, but I guess I am decent. For some, my collections seem a bit absurd because they perhaps link it to shallowness. I can totally see how one can think that, but at the same time, I judge other for judging me like that. For one, they may collect video games, and spend their days playing them, collect coins, stamps or rocks. I collect polish and makeup. And there is nothing wrong with that. The way I see it is this: it makes me happy, I love the excitement of opening a package or buying a new colour or product. I would much rather that excitement than drinking, or doing drugs, etc. It may not be good for my wallet, but at least, it does not harm my health and other areas of my life.

Now, you may ask yourself why I started in such a dark corner. There is nothing dark about it, it is simply reality. I lost a lot of friends to drugs and alcohol simply because we had nothing in common.

Now, onto a happier place, let's talk nail polish! I started collecting when I found Erika'a blog, Chloe's Nails. When I saw how beautiful her manicures were, and what beautiful colours she had, I immediately made a shopping list. I started off with China Glaze, and then branched out to other brands. I now have about 220 polishes, from various corners of the world, and I adore them all!

I will show you my collection, my Nail of the Day (NOTD), my makeup collection, and other random posts. I am also hoping to show you tips and tricks on how to have beautiful, healthy nails, and a makeup looks that will make you go ooohhhh and ahhhhh just like I do when I see beautiful faces with gorgeous makeup.
